The other day at the Sonic Seducer Musikmagazin book club… ![]()
It was one of those evenings dedicated entirely to high culture. We read, we leaf through the pages, we sit around looking meaningfully lost in thought. Typical Gothic. Only with chairs. While part of the band was still engrossed in analyzing the latest issue of Seducer, another had already found the perfect reading position. Priorities, after all. And anyone who claims rock ’n‘ roll is hard work has never tried holding a magazine in a proper pose while doing it. Then suddenly: a name. Our name. Seekers Are Lovers – Bloody Violet. On a compilation album. In Seducer. Black and white. And all without our involvement. Well, at least without our direct involvement at that moment. The editors describe it as the „higher commercial school of electronically infected Gothic rock.“ We’re flattered. A little. We would have been happy with a PhD, but you can’t have everything. The fact that our EP Underneath The Storm won’t be released until next spring doesn’t seem to be dampening our excitement. „Bloody Violet“ will help shorten the wait, according to Seducer. We have a few other suggestions, but they’re not quite suitable for our reading group. Until then, we’ll continue practicing humility, self-irony, and controlled enthusiasm. Basically, everything that defines a gothic band when no one’s looking. Thanks to Seducer for the mention and the kind words! See you around. Probably somewhere between world-weariness, poor lighting, and wondering who put the magazine back.

Dark entertainment, straight from the shadows.
Seekers Are Lovers are guests at Nightshade by Frank van Düren
for a video interview with Patty & Hagen. Krissi unfortunately couldn’t make it this time, but even as a duo, there’s plenty to talk about — music, darkness, and all the things you probably shouldn’t pull out of a basement by candlelight.
A conversation for everyone who likes their music served with a little taste of the abyss.
